In a broader sense, the main object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement for measuring current which allows the use of a transformer of acceptable mass and size even when measuring high currents, while at the same time making it possible to achieve the required measurement accuracy. Active AC converter (100) for current measurement arrangement for use in one stage of a cascade AC converter. The active converter (100) comprises an iron-core transformer (101) and a feedback operational amplifier, wherein the transformer (101) has a first coil and a second coil (L1, L2). The present AC transformer implements a high-current, structurally accurate and linear, small-scale arrangement to meet industrial needs.
